Senior Quality Engineer

The employer is a systems integrator designing automated production lines and robotic work cells.
As a Senior Quality Engineer with the employer, you will lead technical work and help shape how the industrial & manufacturing engineering team works. This position is based in New York, NY. This is a 9-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our New York location.
What you’ll do
- Monitor processes with statistical process control
- Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues
- Own corrective and preventive action (CAPA) investigations
- Develop inspection plans and control plans
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with ISO 9001 or a similar quality management system
- Strong documentation habits
- Root-cause analysis skills (8D, 5 Whys, fishbone)
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- Experience with AS9100, IATF 16949 or ISO 13485
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in New York, NY is $84 – $103 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
