As a Senior QA Automation Engineer with the employer, you will lead technical work and help shape how the software engineering team works. This position is based in San Jose, CA. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our San Jose office.
What you’ll do
- Report on quality metrics and release readiness
- Track, reproduce and triage defects with developers
- Design and maintain automated UI and API test suites
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience building test automation with Selenium, Playwright or Cypress
- Programming ability in Python, Java or JavaScript
- Experience testing REST APIs
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- ISTQB certification
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in San Jose, CA is $172,000 – $218,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
