The employer is looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer in Modesto, CA. In this role you will lead technical work alongside an experienced software engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Modesto office.
What you’ll do
- Track, reproduce and triage defects with developers
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline
- Report on quality metrics and release readiness
- Design and maintain automated UI and API test suites
- Write test plans and test cases for new features
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience testing REST APIs
- Programming ability in Python, Java or JavaScript
- Experience building test automation with Selenium, Playwright or Cypress
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6
- ISTQB certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Modesto, CA is $137,000 – $174,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
