Senior Project Engineer

The employer is looking for a Senior Project Engineer in Irvine, CA. In this role you will lead technical work alongside an experienced construction engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our Irvine location.
What you’ll do
- Manage RFIs, submittals and change orders on commercial construction projects
- Attend owner and subcontractor meetings and keep minutes
- Support closeout documentation
- Track budgets and costs alongside the project manager
- Review drawings and specifications for conflicts
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Comfort working on active job sites
- Ability to read construction drawings
- Strong organizational skills
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience on projects over $20M
- OSHA 30 certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Irvine, CA is $76 – $93 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
