We are hiring a Senior Project Engineer to join our construction engineering team in Columbus. You will set technical direction on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Columbus office.
What you’ll do
- Attend owner and subcontractor meetings and keep minutes
- Track budgets and costs alongside the project manager
- Review drawings and specifications for conflicts
- Support closeout documentation
- Manage RFIs, submittals and change orders on commercial construction projects
- Coordinate subcontractors and track the project schedule
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Comfort working on active job sites
- Ability to read construction drawings
- Experience with Procore or similar construction software
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience on projects over $20M
- OSHA 30 certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Columbus, OH is $103,000 – $131,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
