We are hiring a Senior Project Engineer to join our construction engineering team in Baton Rouge. You will set technical direction on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Baton Rouge office.
What you’ll do
- Support closeout documentation
- Track budgets and costs alongside the project manager
- Attend owner and subcontractor meetings and keep minutes
- Manage RFIs, submittals and change orders on commercial construction projects
- Coordinate subcontractors and track the project schedule
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience with Procore or similar construction software
- Ability to read construction drawings
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- OSHA 30 certification
- Experience on projects over $20M
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Baton Rouge, LA is $101,000 – $129,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
