We are hiring a Senior Process Engineer to join our chemical engineering team in San Diego. You will lead technical work on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our San Diego location.
What you’ll do
- Monitor and optimize unit operations for yield, quality and cost
- Lead process hazard analyses and management-of-change reviews
- Troubleshoot production issues with operations and maintenance
- Run designed experiments to improve process capability
- Develop P&IDs, mass balances and process documentation
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong chemical engineering fundamentals
- Data analysis skills
- Knowledge of process safety practices
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with Aspen Plus or HYSYS
- Six Sigma certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in San Diego, CA is $133,000 – $169,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
