The employer is looking for a Senior Process Engineer in Port St. Lucie, FL. In this role you will lead technical work alongside an experienced chemical engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Port St. Lucie location.
What you’ll do
- Monitor and optimize unit operations for yield, quality and cost
- Troubleshoot production issues with operations and maintenance
- Run designed experiments to improve process capability
- Lead process hazard analyses and management-of-change reviews
- Develop P&IDs, mass balances and process documentation
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Data analysis skills
- Experience in a manufacturing or plant environment
- Strong chemical engineering fundamentals
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Six Sigma certification
- Experience with Aspen Plus or HYSYS
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Port St. Lucie, FL is $103,000 – $131,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
