The employer is looking for a Senior Power Systems Engineer in San Bernardino, CA. In this role you will lead technical work alongside an experienced electrical & computer engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our San Bernardino office.
What you’ll do
- Support interconnection studies for renewable generation
- Prepare drawings and specifications for utility projects
- Design substation, distribution and protection systems
- Perform load flow, short circuit and arc flash studies
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with ETAP, PSS/E or SKM
- Understanding of NEC, IEEE and NERC standards
- Strong analytical skills
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- PE license
- Experience with battery storage or solar interconnection
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in San Bernardino, CA is $155,000 – $197,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
