The employer is looking for a Senior Power Systems Engineer in Menifee, CA. In this role you will lead technical work alongside an experienced electrical & computer engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Menifee location.
What you’ll do
- Prepare drawings and specifications for utility projects
- Develop relay settings and coordination studies
- Perform load flow, short circuit and arc flash studies
- Support interconnection studies for renewable generation
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Knowledge of protective relaying
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience with ETAP, PSS/E or SKM
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with battery storage or solar interconnection
- PE license
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Menifee, CA is $149,000 – $189,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
