As a Senior Petroleum Engineer with the employer, you will lead technical work and help shape how the petroleum engineering team works. This position is based in Joliet, IL. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Joliet location.
What you’ll do
- Perform reservoir and decline-curve analysis
- Coordinate with geoscience and operations teams
- Monitor field performance and recommend workovers
- Plan and optimize well completions and production
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Familiarity with industry software such as Petrel or ARIES
- Willingness to visit field locations
- Strong economic analysis skills
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- PE license
- Unconventional reservoir experience
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Joliet, IL is $145,000 – $185,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
