As a Senior Network Engineer with the employer, you will lead technical work and help shape how the software engineering team works. This position is based in Lansing, MI. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Lansing location.
What you’ll do
- Design, build and support enterprise LAN, WAN and data center networks
- Document network designs and standards
- Monitor performance and troubleshoot outages
- Automate network changes with Python and Ansible
- Configure routing, switching, firewalls and SD-WAN
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Clear documentation habits
- Firewall administration experience
- Strong routing and switching knowledge (BGP, OSPF)
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud networking
- CCNP or CCIE certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Lansing, MI is $122,000 – $155,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
