The employer is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Santa Ana, CA. In this role you will lead technical work alongside an experienced mechanical engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Santa Ana office.
What you’ll do
- Manage engineering change orders and documentation
- Build and test prototypes, then iterate on the results
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing on design for manufacturability
- Run tolerance stack-ups and apply GD&T to drawings
- Design mechanical components and assemblies in SolidWorks
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
- Understanding of common manufacturing processes
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with ANSYS or Abaqus
- Experience with injection molding or sheet-metal design
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Santa Ana, CA is $131,000 – $166,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
