We are hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our mechanical engineering team in Fort Wayne. You will lead technical work on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Fort Wayne office.
What you’ll do
- Perform FEA and hand calculations to validate designs
- Build and test prototypes, then iterate on the results
- Manage engineering change orders and documentation
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing on design for manufacturability
- Run tolerance stack-ups and apply GD&T to drawings
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Understanding of common manufacturing processes
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with injection molding or sheet-metal design
- Experience with ANSYS or Abaqus
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Fort Wayne, IN is $107,000 – $137,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
