Senior Manufacturing Engineer

The employer is a process manufacturer of food ingredients and nutritional products.
Our McKinney office is growing, and we need a Senior Manufacturing Engineer who can lead technical work from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative industrial & manufacturing engineering group and report to the industrial & manufacturing engineering manager. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our McKinney location.
What you’ll do
- Support new product introduction on the production floor
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes for new and existing products
- Design fixtures, tooling and work cells
- Drive scrap reduction, cycle-time and cost improvements
- Lead PFMEAs and root-cause investigations
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- CAD skills for fixture design
- Experience in a production manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of lean and continuous improvement
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
- Experience with automation and robotics
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in McKinney, TX is $66 – $81 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
