The employer is looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in New York, NY. In this role you will lead technical work alongside an experienced software engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our New York office.
What you’ll do
- Design offline and online experiments to measure model impact
- Build feature pipelines and model monitoring
- Optimize model latency and serving cost
- Work with data scientists to move prototypes into reliable systems
- Train, evaluate and deploy machine learning models into production services
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience deploying ML models to production
- Strong Python and software engineering fundamentals
- Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Graduate degree in a quantitative field
- Experience with large language models or retrieval systems
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in New York, NY is $141 – $172 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
