The employer is looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in Indianapolis, IN. In this role you will lead technical work alongside an experienced software engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Indianapolis location.
What you’ll do
- Work with data scientists to move prototypes into reliable systems
- Build feature pipelines and model monitoring
- Design offline and online experiments to measure model impact
- Optimize model latency and serving cost
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience deploying ML models to production
- Solid understanding of statistics and model evaluation
- Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with large language models or retrieval systems
- Graduate degree in a quantitative field
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Indianapolis, IN is $150,000 – $191,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
