As a Senior HVAC Design Engineer with the employer, you will lead technical work and help shape how the mechanical engineering team works. This position is based in Houston, TX. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Houston office.
What you’ll do
- Support construction administration and commissioning
- Model systems and produce construction documents in Revit
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations
- Select equipment and write specifications
- Design HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial, healthcare and education buildings
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with load calculation software
- Knowledge of ASHRAE standards and mechanical codes
- Strong coordination skills
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- LEED AP credential
- Experience with energy modeling in eQUEST or IES
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Houston, TX is $107,000 – $136,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
