As a Senior HVAC Design Engineer with the employer, you will lead technical work and help shape how the mechanical engineering team works. This position is based in Grand Prairie, TX. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Grand Prairie office.
What you’ll do
- Support construction administration and commissioning
- Model systems and produce construction documents in Revit
- Select equipment and write specifications
- Design HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial, healthcare and education buildings
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with load calculation software
- Experience producing construction documents
- Knowledge of ASHRAE standards and mechanical codes
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- PE license
- Experience with energy modeling in eQUEST or IES
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Grand Prairie, TX is $108,000 – $138,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
