Senior Hardware Engineer

As a Senior Hardware Engineer with the employer, you will lead technical work and help shape how the electrical & computer engineering team works. This position is based in Virginia Beach, VA. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Virginia Beach office.
What you’ll do
- Lead board bring-up and hardware validation
- Perform signal and power integrity analysis
- Design high-speed digital boards with processors, memory and FPGAs
- Drive designs through manufacturing release
- Work with firmware engineers to debug hardware-software issues
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Lab skills with oscilloscopes and protocol analyzers
- Experience designing complex multilayer PCBs
- Experience with Cadence or Altium
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- FPGA development experience
- Experience with HyperLynx or similar SI tools
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Virginia Beach, VA is $105 – $128 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
