The employer is looking for a Senior Hardware Engineer in San Antonio, TX. In this role you will lead technical work alongside an experienced electrical & computer engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our San Antonio location.
What you’ll do
- Design high-speed digital boards with processors, memory and FPGAs
- Work with firmware engineers to debug hardware-software issues
- Drive designs through manufacturing release
- Lead board bring-up and hardware validation
- Perform signal and power integrity analysis
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with Cadence or Altium
- Lab skills with oscilloscopes and protocol analyzers
- Knowledge of high-speed interfaces such as DDR, PCIe or Ethernet
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with HyperLynx or similar SI tools
- FPGA development experience
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in San Antonio, TX is $145,000 – $184,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
