As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer with the employer, you will lead technical work and help shape how the civil engineering team works. This position is based in Murrieta, CA. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Murrieta location.
What you’ll do
- Observe earthwork and foundation construction in the field
- Analyze foundations, retaining walls and slope stability
- Plan and oversee subsurface explorations and laboratory testing
- Write geotechnical reports with design recommendations
- Coordinate drilling subcontractors and field staff
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience writing geotechnical reports
- Willingness to work in the field
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- PE license
- Master’s degree in geotechnical engineering
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Murrieta, CA is $125,000 – $159,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
