Senior Front-End Engineer

The employer is looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer in Killeen, TX. In this role you will lead technical work alongside an experienced software engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Killeen office.

What you’ll do

• Build responsive, accessible user interfaces in React and TypeScript
• Work with back-end engineers to define clean API contracts
• Measure and improve page performance and Core Web Vitals
• Translate designs into reusable components and maintain the shared component library
• Champion accessibility and usability across the product
• Write unit and end-to-end tests for user-facing features
• Mentor junior engineers and review their work

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience
• Production experience with React or a comparable framework
• Working knowledge of HTML semantics, CSS layout and browser developer tools
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills
• A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery

Nice to have

• Experience with WCAG 2.1 AA audits
• Familiarity with design systems and Figma

Compensation and benefits

The pay range for this position in Killeen, TX is $142,000 – $181,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
