As a Senior Field Service Engineer with the employer, you will lead technical work and help shape how the mechanical engineering team works. This position is based in Chicago, IL. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Chicago location.
What you’ll do
- Train customer operators and maintenance staff
- Document service visits and feed issues back to engineering
- Install, commission and service equipment at customer sites
- Perform preventive maintenance and upgrades
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and software issues
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Strong customer service skills
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience servicing medical or semiconductor equipment
- Experience with industrial automation equipment
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Chicago, IL is $92,000 – $117,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
