The employer is looking for a Senior Environmental Engineer in Paterson, NJ. In this role you will lead technical work alongside an experienced environmental engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Paterson location.
What you’ll do
- Plan and run site investigations and remediation projects
- Collect and interpret soil, groundwater and air samples
- Advise clients on environmental regulations
- Write compliance reports for state and federal agencies
- Prepare air, water and waste permit applications
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil or Chemical Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER (or able to obtain)
- Strong technical writing
- Knowledge of EPA and state environmental regulations
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with PFAS investigation or treatment
- PE license
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Paterson, NJ is $108,000 – $137,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
