The employer is a structural engineering practice working on commercial, healthcare and higher-education buildings.
Our New York office is growing, and we need a Senior Environmental Engineer who can lead technical work from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative environmental engineering group and report to the environmental engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our New York location.
What you’ll do
- Write compliance reports for state and federal agencies
- Plan and run site investigations and remediation projects
- Advise clients on environmental regulations
- Collect and interpret soil, groundwater and air samples
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil or Chemical Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Knowledge of EPA and state environmental regulations
- Field sampling experience
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER (or able to obtain)
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with PFAS investigation or treatment
- PE license
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in New York, NY is $127,000 – $162,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
