Senior Electrical Engineer

Our Brownsville office is growing, and we need a Senior Electrical Engineer who can lead technical work from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative electrical & computer engineering group and report to the electrical & computer engineering manager. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our Brownsville location.
What you’ll do
- Design analog, digital and power circuits for new products
- Simulate circuits and perform worst-case analysis
- Bring up and validate prototype hardware in the lab
- Maintain bills of materials and work with component suppliers
- Support EMC, safety and regulatory testing
- Capture schematics and guide PCB layout in Altium
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools
- Strong analog and digital circuit fundamentals
- Ability to read and interpret datasheets
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with UL or IEC certification
- Experience with power electronics or motor drives
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Brownsville, TX is $76 – $92 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
