Senior DevOps Engineer

The employer is a networking company that designs connectivity products for enterprises and carriers.

Our Springfield office is growing, and we need a Senior DevOps Engineer who can lead technical work from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative software engineering group and report to the software engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Springfield office.

What you’ll do

• Manage cloud infrastructure as code with Terraform
• Set up monitoring, alerting and dashboards for production systems
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that let teams ship safely several times a day
• Operate Kubernetes clusters, including upgrades, scaling and cost control
• Take part in an on-call rotation and lead incident reviews
• Mentor junior engineers and review their work

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience
• Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider
• Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD tooling
• Experience running containerized workloads in production
• A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery

Nice to have

• Experience with service meshes
• Experience with FinOps and cloud cost optimization

Compensation and benefits

The pay range for this position in Springfield, MA is $161,000 – $205,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
