The employer is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer in New York, NY. In this role you will lead technical work alongside an experienced software engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our New York office.
What you’ll do
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that let teams ship safely several times a day
- Harden infrastructure and automate security patching
- Take part in an on-call rotation and lead incident reviews
- Set up monitoring, alerting and dashboards for production systems
- Operate Kubernetes clusters, including upgrades, scaling and cost control
- Manage cloud infrastructure as code with Terraform
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong Linux administration and scripting skills
- Experience running containerized workloads in production
- Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with FinOps and cloud cost optimization
- Kubernetes certification (CKA or CKAD)
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in New York, NY is $179,000 – $228,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
