The employer is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer in Chicago, IL. In this role you will lead technical work alongside an experienced software engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Chicago location.
What you’ll do
- Harden infrastructure and automate security patching
- Manage cloud infrastructure as code with Terraform
- Take part in an on-call rotation and lead incident reviews
- Set up monitoring, alerting and dashboards for production systems
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience running containerized workloads in production
- Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider
- Strong Linux administration and scripting skills
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with service meshes
- Kubernetes certification (CKA or CKAD)
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Chicago, IL is $150,000 – $191,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
