The employer is looking for a Senior Data Engineer in North Las Vegas, NV. In this role you will lead technical work alongside an experienced data engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our North Las Vegas location.
What you’ll do
- Monitor data quality and fix pipeline failures quickly
- Build and maintain batch and streaming pipelines into the data warehouse
- Model data in dbt so analysts and data scientists can rely on it
- Work with stakeholders to turn reporting needs into data products
- Optimize warehouse cost and query performance
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with a cloud data warehouse
- Understanding of dimensional data modeling
- Experience with an orchestration tool such as Airflow or Dagster
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with Spark or Flink
- Experience with data contracts or data observability tools
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in North Las Vegas, NV is $145,000 – $185,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
