We are hiring a Senior Controls Engineer to join our electrical & computer engineering team in Los Angeles. You will lead technical work on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Los Angeles office.
What you’ll do
- Design control panels and electrical schematics
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs for automated equipment
- Commission equipment on site and train operators
- Develop HMI and SCADA screens
- Integrate robots, vision systems and safety devices
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience programming Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs
- Willingness to travel to job sites
- Ability to read electrical schematics
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 13849)
- Experience with FANUC or ABB robots
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $130,000 – $165,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
