As a Senior Civil Engineer with the employer, you will lead technical work and help shape how the civil engineering team works. This position is based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Fort Lauderdale office.
What you’ll do
- Prepare site, grading, utility and drainage designs for land development projects
- Prepare stormwater reports and calculations
- Coordinate with municipal reviewers and secure permits
- Prepare cost estimates and quantity takeoffs
- Support construction administration, including submittal review and site visits
- Produce construction drawings and specifications in Civil 3D
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Ability to manage several projects at once
- Working knowledge of local and state design standards
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT certification
- Experience with HEC-RAS or SWMM
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Fort Lauderdale, FL is $104,000 – $133,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
