Our Laredo office is growing, and we need a Senior Chemical Engineer who can lead technical work from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative chemical engineering group and report to the chemical engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Laredo office.
What you’ll do
- Take part in process hazard analyses
- Support capital projects through commissioning
- Design and scale up chemical processes from pilot to production
- Simulate processes in Aspen Plus
- Size equipment and prepare process design packages
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Knowledge of separations and reaction engineering
- Strong analytical skills
- Understanding of process safety
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- PE license
- Pilot plant experience
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Laredo, TX is $120,000 – $152,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
