The employer is looking for a Senior Aerospace Engineer in Tucson, AZ. In this role you will lead technical work alongside an experienced aerospace engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our Tucson location.
What you’ll do
- Analyze aircraft and spacecraft structures and systems
- Prepare certification and compliance documentation
- Write test plans and support qualification testing
- Run stress, thermal and dynamics analyses
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with FEA tools such as NASTRAN or ANSYS
- Solid understanding of aerospace structures or systems
- Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance may be required
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Composite structures experience
- Experience with FAA certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Tucson, AZ is $88 – $108 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
