The employer is looking for a Senior Aerospace Engineer in New York, NY. In this role you will lead technical work alongside an experienced aerospace engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a 9-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our New York location.
What you’ll do
- Run stress, thermal and dynamics analyses
- Prepare certification and compliance documentation
- Write test plans and support qualification testing
- Analyze aircraft and spacecraft structures and systems
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong technical documentation skills
- Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance may be required
- Experience with FEA tools such as NASTRAN or ANSYS
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with FAA certification
- Composite structures experience
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in New York, NY is $111 – $135 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
