As a Senior Aerospace Engineer with the employer, you will lead technical work and help shape how the aerospace engineering team works. This position is based in Louisville, KY. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Louisville location.
What you’ll do
- Work across design, manufacturing and supplier teams
- Run stress, thermal and dynamics analyses
- Write test plans and support qualification testing
- Prepare certification and compliance documentation
- Analyze aircraft and spacecraft structures and systems
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with FEA tools such as NASTRAN or ANSYS
- Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance may be required
- Solid understanding of aerospace structures or systems
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Composite structures experience
- Experience with FAA certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Louisville, KY is $129,000 – $165,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
