As a Security Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the software engineering team works. This position is based in New York, NY. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our New York location.
What you’ll do
- Run threat models and security reviews for new features and infrastructure
- Build detections and respond to security incidents
- Harden cloud identity and access management
- Manage vulnerability scanning and drive remediation with engineering teams
- Support compliance work such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001 audits
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Working knowledge of common attack techniques and defenses
- Experience in application, cloud or infrastructure security
- Experience with a SIEM or log analysis platform
Nice to have
- Experience with container security
- Security certifications such as OSCP, CISSP or GIAC
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in New York, NY is $154,000 – $195,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
