The employer is looking for a Security Engineer in Corpus Christi, TX. In this role you will work independently alongside an experienced software engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Corpus Christi office.
What you’ll do
- Support compliance work such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001 audits
- Harden cloud identity and access management
- Build detections and respond to security incidents
- Manage vulnerability scanning and drive remediation with engineering teams
- Run threat models and security reviews for new features and infrastructure
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Scripting ability in Python or a similar language
- Working knowledge of common attack techniques and defenses
- Experience with a SIEM or log analysis platform
Nice to have
- Security certifications such as OSCP, CISSP or GIAC
- Experience with container security
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Corpus Christi, TX is $126,000 – $161,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
