Quality Engineer

The employer is a precision machining and fabrication company serving aerospace and defense customers.
As a Quality Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the industrial & manufacturing engineering team works. This position is based in Plano, TX. This is a 9-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our Plano location.
What you’ll do
- Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues
- Monitor processes with statistical process control
- Support customer and third-party audits
- Develop inspection plans and control plans
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong documentation habits
- Working knowledge of SPC and measurement systems analysis
- Experience with ISO 9001 or a similar quality management system
Nice to have
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- Experience with AS9100, IATF 16949 or ISO 13485
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Plano, TX is $50 – $61 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
