Quality Engineer

The employer is a manufacturer of industrial pumps, valves and flow-control equipment.
Our Columbia office is growing, and we need a Quality Engineer who can work independently from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative industrial & manufacturing engineering group and report to the industrial & manufacturing engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Columbia location.
What you’ll do
- Develop inspection plans and control plans
- Support customer and third-party audits
- Monitor processes with statistical process control
- Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues
- Own corrective and preventive action (CAPA) investigations
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong documentation habits
- Experience with ISO 9001 or a similar quality management system
- Working knowledge of SPC and measurement systems analysis
Nice to have
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- Experience with AS9100, IATF 16949 or ISO 13485
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Columbia, MO is $74,000 – $95,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
