The employer is a packaging manufacturer running high-speed production lines across several plants.
As a Quality Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the industrial & manufacturing engineering team works. This position is based in Chicago, IL. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Chicago location.
What you’ll do
- Support customer and third-party audits
- Develop inspection plans and control plans
- Monitor processes with statistical process control
- Own corrective and preventive action (CAPA) investigations
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with ISO 9001 or a similar quality management system
- Root-cause analysis skills (8D, 5 Whys, fishbone)
- Working knowledge of SPC and measurement systems analysis
Nice to have
- Experience with AS9100, IATF 16949 or ISO 13485
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Chicago, IL is $84,000 – $107,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
