The employer is looking for a Quality Engineer in Cedar Rapids, IA. In this role you will work independently alongside an experienced industrial & manufacturing engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Cedar Rapids office.
What you’ll do
- Monitor processes with statistical process control
- Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues
- Own corrective and preventive action (CAPA) investigations
- Develop inspection plans and control plans
- Support customer and third-party audits
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Working knowledge of SPC and measurement systems analysis
- Root-cause analysis skills (8D, 5 Whys, fishbone)
- Strong documentation habits
Nice to have
- Experience with AS9100, IATF 16949 or ISO 13485
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Cedar Rapids, IA is $73,000 – $93,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
