The employer is a civil engineering and land surveying firm supporting residential and commercial development.
Our Salinas office is growing, and we need a Project Engineer who can work independently from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative construction engineering group and report to the construction engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Salinas office.
What you’ll do
- Manage RFIs, submittals and change orders on commercial construction projects
- Review drawings and specifications for conflicts
- Track budgets and costs alongside the project manager
- Coordinate subcontractors and track the project schedule
- Attend owner and subcontractor meetings and keep minutes
- Support closeout documentation
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Ability to read construction drawings
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience with Procore or similar construction software
Nice to have
- Experience on projects over $20M
- OSHA 30 certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Salinas, CA is $95,000 – $121,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
