Project Engineer

The employer is a civil engineering and land surveying firm supporting residential and commercial development.
Our Charlotte office is growing, and we need a Project Engineer who can work independently from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative construction engineering group and report to the construction engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Charlotte location.
What you’ll do
- Attend owner and subcontractor meetings and keep minutes
- Coordinate subcontractors and track the project schedule
- Support closeout documentation
- Manage RFIs, submittals and change orders on commercial construction projects
- Track budgets and costs alongside the project manager
- Review drawings and specifications for conflicts
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Comfort working on active job sites
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience with Procore or similar construction software
Nice to have
- Experience on projects over $20M
- OSHA 30 certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Charlotte, NC is $75,000 – $95,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
