The employer is looking for a Process Engineer in Chesapeake, VA. In this role you will work independently alongside an experienced chemical engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Chesapeake office.
What you’ll do
- Lead process hazard analyses and management-of-change reviews
- Troubleshoot production issues with operations and maintenance
- Develop P&IDs, mass balances and process documentation
- Run designed experiments to improve process capability
- Monitor and optimize unit operations for yield, quality and cost
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Data analysis skills
- Experience in a manufacturing or plant environment
- Knowledge of process safety practices
Nice to have
- Six Sigma certification
- Experience with Aspen Plus or HYSYS
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Chesapeake, VA is $87,000 – $111,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
