The employer is looking for a Principal Water Resources Engineer in Dallas, TX. In this role you will set technical direction alongside an experienced civil engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Dallas location.
What you’ll do
- Support grant applications and regulatory submittals
- Model hydrology and hydraulics for flood control and stormwater projects
- Analyze data in GIS to support capital planning
- Prepare master plans and engineering reports for municipal clients
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Understanding of hydraulics and hydrology
- Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS or SWMM
- Strong report writing
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with InfoWater or WaterGEMS
- PE license
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Dallas, TX is $121,000 – $153,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
