The employer is a water treatment technology company designing systems for municipal and industrial clients.
Our North Las Vegas office is growing, and we need a Principal Transportation Engineer who can set technical direction from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative civil engineering group and report to the civil engineering manager. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our North Las Vegas location.
What you’ll do
- Design roadway, intersection and multimodal improvements
- Design signing, striping and maintenance-of-traffic plans
- Prepare plans, specifications and estimates for DOT projects
- Present findings at public meetings
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong written communication
- Experience with MicroStation/OpenRoads or Civil 3D
- Experience with traffic analysis software
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience on state DOT projects
- PE or PTOE certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in North Las Vegas, NV is $83 – $101 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
