We are hiring a Principal Structural Engineer to join our civil engineering team in Victorville. You will set technical direction on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Victorville location.
What you’ll do
- Perform condition assessments of existing structures
- Prepare calculations and structural drawings coordinated in Revit
- Build analysis models in RISA, ETABS or SAP2000
- Review shop drawings and answer contractor RFIs
- Analyze and design steel, concrete, masonry and wood structures
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC and ACI codes
- Clear communication with architects and contractors
- Strong hand-calculation skills
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Seismic design experience
- Master’s degree in structural engineering
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Victorville, CA is $164,000 – $208,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
