As a Principal Structural Engineer with the employer, you will set technical direction and help shape how the civil engineering team works. This position is based in Fort Worth, TX. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Fort Worth office.
What you’ll do
- Prepare calculations and structural drawings coordinated in Revit
- Build analysis models in RISA, ETABS or SAP2000
- Perform condition assessments of existing structures
- Review shop drawings and answer contractor RFIs
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong hand-calculation skills
- Knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC and ACI codes
- Experience with structural analysis software
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Seismic design experience
- PE or SE license
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Fort Worth, TX is $131,000 – $167,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
